Oh reelly?

Hillary Clinton says the US is 'worried' (BBC quotes) about UK defense spending cuts. I wonder what Hillary would've said if Argentina, emboldened by the USA's pro-Argentinian stance a while back, had started making real noises about re-invading the Falklands.

If the UK had decided that defending the Falklands was more important than being shot at by the Taliban in Afghanistan, and sent every serving soldier and rusting aircraft carrier to the south Atlantic, would Hillary have been as worried? Hmmm?

Worth noting that the US administration's current approach to the financial crisis is still spend baby, spend, and the UK's (and Europe's) deficit reduction plans are, generally speaking, making Obama and his chums look bad.
