# I'm goin' in

It's late Friday night, and my (biological) system's a little too rickety after Friday Lunch [1] to do anything constructive. So, I have the 6.5.1 Linux server winging its way across the samba wires to a spare box Pete set up for me this afternoon, and damn the installation docs, I'm going to install and play. I know this is old news for most folks, but we've been stuck with R5 for so long, and I've spent so little time mucking about with the ND6 client, that I must admit I'll a little unsure as to what I'll find. Much the same, but many cool new things I've only heard about, to discover and learn.

All rather exciting, though, even if it's sad as hell that it's Friday night and this is what I'm doing. Anyway, wish me luck...

[1] Friday lunch is an eMD tradition started by my late partner Mo years ago when eMD first started. Mo, or one of the Muslim girls who worked for us, would bring cooked lunch for everyone on Fridays, for after Mosque. The catering soon became company-sponsored, and everyone has 'Indian food' on Fridays. For any given meal, there are variants in two separate pots: 'mild' and 'hot', keeping everyone happy. Today was butter chicken. Towards the end of the day, when us gluttons are heading back to the kitchen for seconds, the left-overs of mild and hot (mostly hot, because we'd polished off the mild) are mixed together to be stored in the fridge, so round 2 was a little more spicy than my whitey constitution is used to. As CMac said a little dejectedly before I left the office, "maybe we should have skipped seconds". *rumble*
